[Everything doTERRA] Re: storing my oils?

I actually use a wooden cigar humidor with a foam insert that I cut down to hold my oils. Works great and after awhile the smell is overtaken with the oils.

since the oils are already in amber colored bottles, is it still really important that I store my oils in a darkened box or anything?  I have an old cigar box that is wooden, but it has sort of a strong smell...will that effect the oils at all or can I use that until I can afford to buy a much nicer box or container.

thanks.
