[Everything doTERRA] Re: CONCERNS WITH PROPER FUNCTION OF MY THYROID

Hi Sara - The website that Ashley mentioned is wealth of information and if you like to read books another excellent resource is a book by Dr. Kharrazian called "Why do I still Have Thyroid Symptoms When My Lab Tests are Normal?". Thyroid issues can be very complicated because how it functions is more than dealing with just the gland itself.... Before doing any type of self treatment, seek out a physician that truly understands thyroid and get a comprehensive thyroid panel done (this is more than TSH!) If your doctor looks at you weird when you ask for TSH, T3, Reverse T3, Free T3 and Free T4 and thyroid antibodies TPO and TgAB - MOVE ON. You can't truly help yourself unless you have someone helping you who understands all these labs. Also, do not let a physician tell you that your TSH is within "normal range" - the lab normal and what is normal for you can be completely different. I would suggest looking for a functional medicine physician as he/she should have the knowledge and training to help you. Good luck!

HELLO ALL! HOPE THE DAY IS FINDING YOU AT PEACE.  I WAS CURIOUS ABOUT MY THYROID BEING UNDER ACTIVE.  MY HAIR IS GETTING THINNER AND I'M CONCERNED ABOUT A THYROID ISSUE.  IVE HAD BLOOD WORK DONE AND HAVN'T RECIEVED THE RESULTS YET BUT I'M TIRED ON TOP OF THE HAIR ISSUE AND JUST CAN'T SEEM TO EVER GET ENOUGH OR TOO MUCH HOWEVER YOU WANT TO LOOK AT IT.  A SUGGESTED REGAMIN ON FOODS AND OILS IN FAVOR OF A GOOD FUNCTION WOULD BE HELPFUL IF YOU'D HAVE ONE.  THANKS IN ADVANCE!!
