Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: reactions to doterra skincare products

An Arbonne consultant friend (they sell natural skin care and make-up) told me that when you start a new skin care regimen--particularly a natural one, that the toxins left in your skin from what you have used over time may begin to come out initially.  She has a lot more experience with skin care than I do.  After her telling me this, I saved up and bought Doterra's skin care line.

Some things really 'burned' initially.  For me, it was the toner and the moisturizers (both).  After a week or two of burning sensations and some small break-outs, my face cleared up much better.  In my case, I think it was releasing some toxins.  Now my face doesn't burn when I use the toner and lotion unless I haven't used it in several weeks.

I have very sensitive skin and I have had 'real' allergic reactions to other skin care lines.  The difference with Doterra's was that I felt a 'burning sensation' and not hives, swelling, coughing, sneezing or persistent rash.  So that's why I continued to try it.  I may not be allergic to Doterra's skin care line and I had a temporary 'poor' reaction, but I do believe it is entirely possible for someone.

Yep, but I have extremely sensitive skin. I have narrowed to down to I can't use Frankincense on my neck, around my eye area and forehead. I can use the face cleansers, but not straight Melaleuca on my face. I also have a reaction to the anti aging serum!! I usually have trouble with facial cleansers, but not these ones they are so great. I love the whole range and as long as I dont put the serum and frank on my neck and cetain other areas than I am fine. Everyone has different skin types so it is bound to happen to some people. ;)

Greetings,

I am wondering if anyone or know of someone whom has had a negative reaction to the essential skincare products. An friend is claiming to be experiencing a reaction from these fabulous products but refuse to believe it.  Can someone validate for me?  Thanks!
