It is a powerful oil and was obviously pulling toxins out, I would have just used a carrier oil with it. And I would for sure keep it on the surgical area, possibly with some lavender.

I have a wonderful customer who loves her oils and recently had to have surgery on her broken arm.  A plate was put in and there was the potential for a nasty scar so I gave her some helichrysum to use over the site.  After she did a nasty and very itchy rash developed on the spots she used it and stayed for a few days from one application.  To test and make sure it was the oil and not something else she used the oil in another spot on her body and had the same reaction.  Is this something common with that oil?  Would diluting it solve the problem?  Can anyone explain that reaction?
