Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Using essential oils in a C-PAP machine for patients that have sleep apnea and also can benefit from essential oils.

My husband has ALS and uses a bipap. We put oils in everytime we fill the chamber. Breathe, eucalyptus and frank typically. He has yet to have pneumonia or bronchitis, both are extremely common especially end stage as he is.

I put a drop of On Guard in my CPAP humidifier each night.  The smell is wonderful and the "sharpness" of it also seems to make inhalation more productive.  I've been doing this for about 2 weeks and will continue.  I may have to replace the humidifier chamber - I'm already on my second one anyway - but to me it's a worthy trade-off.  I tried one drop of Lavender one night and had to get up and clean out the humidifier chamber because the fragrance was just way too strong.  Have also tried BREATHE which was fine but I'm going to keep using the On Guard and save the Breathe Blend for when/if I have congestion.

Hello.

Does anyone have any experience with using essential oils in the C-PAP machine?

Thanks.
