For his cough diffuse Equal parts Frankincense & Breathe or Equal parts Melaleuca & Lavender. Pat can confirm or correct this but I've been told to diffuse for 15 minute intervals then give your olfactory sensor a rest (I'm thinking it's 45 minutes).
For energy your dad could take Life Long Vitality supplements, especially if he's not eating much, because these supplements would provide a lot of what his body needs which in turn would give him more energy. I'd also think that DDR would be a boon to his system, but again, Pat should confirm or correct that recommendation.
Hope this helps.

My father has lung cancer and has developed a chronic cough which is partly due to a touch of bronchitis (which he is talking medicine for) but also from the cancer itself. He is also extremely tired and has no energy or appetite. He is not currently undergoing chemo or radiation and I believe they do not plan on doing that any more as a course of treatment due to various reasons. He is being considered for a trial drug/study and if he gets selected for that, there is a chance he will have to discontinue any use of essential oils. In the meantime, I'd like to find out what oils, if any, can help to alleviate the chronic cough he has developed as well as ways to help increase his energy.
BTW, I've been reading about the use of frankincense with cancer and my mom has started using it on him so I don't really need information about that. I am looking for information specifically on the cough and energy levels.
Thanks in advance. =)
