Kris,

I went to Bastyr Univetsity.  PJ Hanks who also went there does teach chemical classes where she is teaching how to blend by the chemical constituents all over the country, if there is one in your area I'd recommend making the effort to attend.  Her and our professors book (Jimm Harrison) should have been released by now.  Sorry I can't think of the name.

Jimm's first book. He used his book he alone wrote as the text for our class.  I'm sorry I don't remember my thoughts on just the info in that section of the book on blending. The basic place he teaches to start is with 5 oils no more then 15 drops toal to the blend. He does explane the dillution in the book and what ratio for what.  He does not explane building the blend from the base up though, it appears you already understand that principle.  I bought it off Amazon and mine is very highlighted & tabed up now.  Dr Kirk S ( off the top of my head I could not spell his name this moment) - I love all my books by him but I don't remember a how to build a blend section in the ones I have. He has written many though so there may be one.  Jimm's book is something like "Essential Oils for Enestitisions" - k just butchered that word, if you can figure out the last word I wrote it is the name of people who work on skin in salons.  I would of never purchased the book from its name but it is a great resource and may be just what your looking for.

Sorry I'm just not in my office at the moment, luckily spelling is not a requirement for great blends. 😉
