[Everything doTERRA] Placement questions

I've searched for info on placements and haven't found the answers to my questions. I've read a lot, learned a lot from my uplines but have some questions for you. I would like varying opinions because I know there are some out there. I'd also appreciate hearing your rank if you feel comfortable sharing that...and mistakes...

I need to start placing people. I have a number of people that need to be placed downward instead of across my first line. I am trying to keep a friend group in one line and place one under another. That way each person will have to add 2 + on their front line to get their power of 3. I am wondering how you interact with your downlines when you place. Do you have a chat with each person to explain the placement (both the sponsor and the new person)? And if someone says they do not plan to build, would you still put someone under them? or would you add someone else as a 2nd person and build under them?  if someone has people under them they will earn some money if they have a 100PV order, right? so do people have problems if someone under them starts really building? It's hard to imagine someone not wanting the money but it could mess up their taxes or something. How do you decide you to put where?

I'm making separate legs based on friend/family groups. church is one leg, school group another. Is that what you do?

Thanks so much for any and all advice!
