Make sure there is water in. The diffuser AND the cup. Run it an entire 50 min straight. Then you can choose the settings. My daughter just bought one and had the same question. She had forgot to fill the water line between the two lines INSIDE the diffuse AND the cup. Once she did, it ran fine.   If these suggestions done work,call aroma tools. They have replaced a broken one for me free of charge.  Janet

I just purchased the Whisper Diffuser from Aroma Tools because of the rave reviews about it. A couple of questions for those who have this diffuser: 

1) Are you supposed to see the mist coming out, cause I don't. I put my hand over the nozzle and it feels like something is coming out - but not sure if it is just air?

2) Is the diffuser supposed to leave a strong scent in your home or is it going to be more subtle?

3) After whatever cycle you have chosen - does that mean the I need to replace the water/oils because it has run it's cycle? If I just reset the cycle will that be pointless because the oils have already done their thing with the first cycle? (I hope that question makes sense)
