Re: [Everything doTERRA] Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Sometimes when people are on a tight budget I let them buy small samples to try out different oils. It helps them know if they will help and it doesn't overwhelm them at first and keeps them open.   I personally like melissa balance and vetiver. I have had 1 daughter (she was sexually abused horrifically for 9 months....long story)  and a son in law that have suffered from PTSD and the thing that saved their life was emotional release work and oils combined. It saved my daughter from suicide.  She was so close.  the two modalities we use are "The process" and the "The Emotion code". See attachments.  Emotion release work with the oils will reprogram the brain and let it be at peace.  We searched everywhere for months for help and these are the modalities that made the biggest difference in their lives.  They are happy and thriving now.  Nightmares have ceased. Oh, bergamot helped my one daughter as well.   She would difusse it and her brain would be at peace.

Remember that diffusion is the best for this because the ol factory nerve is directly connected to the amydala in the brain.....which stores our trauma! This is very important.  Because we are in the work of healing and changing lives as doterra consultants,  we cannot forget that stress, trapped emotions and traumatic experiences are key contributers to poor emotional AND physical health and as consultants we cannot overlook that part as we work with people, just as we cannot overlook nutrition.   Dr hill repeatedly spoke about this in both the Mood management class he taught AND the hormone balancing class.   Stress, whether environmental, emotional or nutritional plays a key factor in our complete well being.   All have to be addressed for the body to heal completely.   I have started to encourage my clients and customers to do emotional release work in addition to their oil regime and have seen miracles take place in the lives of many people.  The doterra oils are so full of light and energy and when a body has stored so much trauma, the oils work to help bring these things to the surface.  Light and dark have a hard time existing together.  Tell your friend there is hope and to hang on!  And Good luck!  Each of us in our journey to help people are doing great things when we share our information about the oils.  We must believe that!

Perhaps Serenity? If you like email me and when I am finished with my Harmony Integration Coaching next month, I can give him a session or two over Skype.  I will be looking for 4 or 5 people for testimonials and PTSD can definitely be helped with it. For good. All I will want in return is a written testimonial and photo that I can use on my fliers and website.

Do you have the book about the Emotional Oils by Daniel McDonald? You might get some ideas from that too. Perhaps Cypress? Since he is okay during the day this could bring things to the surface.  Inhale 5 times a day or diffuse.  This will cause a strong release.  Personally I would focus on detoxing his body (Zendocrine oil and caps, DDR Prime and lots of Lemon since stress is acid-building). I like the Balance idea as well.

Please post back as you experiment and get results.

I have a friend with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome. He is on medications to stop him from having dreams because if he doesn't take the meds he has nightmares that are so awful he can't sleep at night.  Day to day, he is a pretty healthy, functional, active person, but I know that he struggles with depression and other  symptoms of PTSD. I wanted to recommend some oils for him, and had some ideas for it. At the same time, I don't want to overwhelm him by offering him a super pricy option or overloading him with too much info. Natural medicine and essential oils are not something he knows much about. I know he's open to new info, but when I offer specifics about nutrition, holistic medicine, etc, I think he tunes out a bit because it's not connected to anything he is familiar with.

So, here is what I was thinking as far as something to offer my friend:

LLV Vitamins
Vetiver oil
Frankincense
Geranium
Lavender

What do you feel about these suggestions? Maybe just one of these to start with would be best, and then gradually  introduce more oils? I was going to offer him a sample of LLV vitamins to try for a week or two to see if he likes them before buying (he's on a veteran's budget, which isn't a whole lot, so I wanted to give him the option of trying something before making an investment).
