[Everything doTERRA] Diffusing and diffuser questions

Hi,

My family is pretty new with EO's other than lavender, and I've been reading about diffusing oils.

What are the benefits of diffusing? How is the efficacy compared to topical application. My husband is asking and I can't quite find the answer to give him. Also because:

Has anyone tried doTerra's new AromaLite diffuser? I admit, I want it, but need to convince hubby it would be very good to have a diffuser (back to first question) and that the price would be worth it.
