I think they may even have cowboy boots here.  But its hard to hide my gun in a pair of clingy sweat pants.  (OK--I'm laughing! No one take me serious, I'll let you know if you should.  Ever.)

You know, the other thing I thought of AFTER I posted (typical of me ...) is that you could just pack a pair of sweat pants, thus avoiding the need to spend. :)

Now, this is just for my own clarification ... Texas *does* sell sweat pants, yes?  ;)

I KEED! I KEED!!

Oh shoot! Part of the reason I have nothing is I am the worlds worst shopper. Hate it. And I'm cheap. So by the time I get there, I'll decide it's only a few more days, and who needs to spend money for that?! Lol!!!

SHould you decide you need some more locale-appropriate gear, there are some great shopping experiences right in the heart of downtown SLC. The newly-opened Citycreek Center is simply stunning and hosts numerous (if not a tad more opulent) clothing options. Down South Temple to the west is the Gateway--an outside shopping mall that has some other clothing store options.

Not that you ARE planning on possibly needing some extra stuff, but on the chance that you do find yourself wishing you had a nice pair of sweats (cuz it's gettin' CHILLY at night up here!), you have options. :)

I am leaving for convention in the morning--after I teach a class to 20+ people in the morning. So being the ahead-of-time-always-prepared person that I am, I decided to drag my suitcases out of my Texas basement and throw them on the floor this morning. This constitutes nearly packed for me. Then, as usual, I wandered off in search of something that needs to be done but that's more fun--like start preparing for that class. Now two hours later it slowly dawns on me. In Texas we have shorts and flip flop summer weather and capris and flip flop winter weather--otherwise if its really frigid we just don't go anywhere. And I am going to Salt Lake where they don't turn the heat up to 78 if its 50 degrees outside. So for those who want to meet me, I'll be the smurf in flip flops and shorts and a hoodie because I am nothing, if not prepared. And styling. Since I'll be stealing a hoodie from one of my sons.
