it depends on which path they take. either way, it's going to cost them--either from having someone develop it internally (smart money), or contracting out the app development at contractor rates, which for app development can be ludicrously high. problem with having someone develop internally is that coding for that many android apps can be time-consuming, so if you pull someone off of some other project that project loses man-power, and the app-dev project costs whatever that person's salary/hourly wage is.

even if only 10 apps for all 180+ android phones needed to be coded, that's still an insane amount of work.

Otherwise can't afford to be so generous with all us IPCs.  Or is it doTERRA?  Could be just another generous soul creating an app for the benefit of those who can use it.  Does it cost anything?
