[Everything doTERRA] Re: Baby with Reflux

I haven't had the pleasure yet of using doTerra oils.  I am waiting to try them!  I have however had a new born grandson with reflux (now 14). The children's hospital here in FL told us to lay him on his side left side down. that way the acid has to climb uphill, if he had the right side down the acid would just have to slide downhill. He also had one of the bounce vibrate chairs so we put that in his crib for him to sleep a little uphill without the vibrate on.  Later in my life I had a bit of time with reflux, and this did help me lots.  I know this isnt what you were looking for but I think every little bit of info can help.

How often would you recommend telling a first time mom of a one month old who is having a severe case of reflux to use Digestzen?  The mom is trying to nurse the baby but she is having a hard time.  The baby starts crying while nursing as if in pain and then stops nursing which the doctor says is from the reflux. Since the baby isn't eating well, she is losing weight.. We have suggested that she rub a tiny drop of Digestzen clockwise on the baby's tummy but we weren't sure if it would be OK to do it anytime the baby seemed to be in distress or at every feeding (approx every 3 hrs) or both.   Understandibly, this mom is very nervous about doing anything that would not be good for the baby so we told her we would ask the people that have all the answers!  Thanks so much for your help.
