[Everything doTERRA] MRSA

My grandfather is dealing with a serious case of MRSA, with it even having infected his vertebrae/ribs. He was in excruciating pain for more than 2 months before they figured out what was causing the pain (he developed a finger infection which led them to finally discover the MRSA abscess in his bones). They have him on very high doses of IV antibiotics, which they say he may need to take for months. I've been dying to try the oils with him, but wanted to give the conventional medical treatment a chance. Well, it's been 2 weeks since they started the antibiotics, and his improvement has been slow, if at all, so I just can't hold back any longer!

I'm planning to have him take a capsule with 4 drops Oregano, 4 drops Melaleuca or OnGuard, and 2 drops Frankincense twice a day, and will also apply these oils on his spine and bottoms of feet every couple of hours, and on his finger with dressing changes. May also diffuse OnGuard and Oregano in his house.

My questions are:
Is it okay for him to start the essential oil protocol while continuing with the antibiotic treatment?
Should he take the Oregano for 3 weeks on/1week off, 2 weeks on/1 week off, or some other rotation?
When he takes a break from the Oregano capsules, does he also need to stop using Oregano topically? And stop diffusing it as well?
Does it sound like I have all of this right and would you have any other suggestions?

I SO appreciate your help. And I promise to share our testimonial when we save his life! :) Jenny
