Re: [Everything doTERRA] ISO homemade makeup remover and/or toner recipes

I actually use either the diluted ACV OR the witch hazel on it's own, I don't mix them.   I don't add anything to mine, ACV has anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties, so I haven't found the need to add the oils to it.  I would use frankincense or melaleuca topically on trouble spots, I think it would work more efficiently that way.

If you have really oily skin, you may be drying it out by using too much on it. I'm not very well versed on skin issues, but I have heard that skin that is overly oily, tends to be that way because products used are too drying so the body produces more oils. I don't know for sure though, maybe look into it some more.  I like the suggestion of Jojoba oil!

Megan, thanks for this info.  I wasn't sure the ratios I should use.  How much of the witch hazel should/could I add to the 1 part ACV + 2 parts distilled water?  I was also thinking of adding a couple drops frankincense and maybe melaleuca.  What do you think?  I have very oily skin, a bit prone to adult acne.  I've been using doTerra's scrub (LOVE), but it's taking me a while to transition all my face care over to doTerra because I'm still building my oil supply slowly.  =)

Also Olive oil is a good makeup remover.  For a toner I use Apple Cider Vinegar diluted with water; 1 part ACV 2 parts water, but it can be adjusted depending on skin type.   Also witch hazel straight is a good toner by it's self.
