[Everything doTERRA] Re: Tick repellent?

I have been using terra shield on my husband, me and the dog for
mosquitos. Based on the limited informant of what is actually on the
Terrashield blend, it's hard to know if it would be effective for
ticks as well.

ME lists lemon eucalyptus, citronella and lemongrass as three of the
15 oils in the blend. Citronella and lemon (for the smell) are both
good for flea repellent when blended with peppermint and lavender.

For my dog I use a different blend for ticks that includes geranium,
lavender and myrrh that has been very effective. When I remember to
use it on him, he does not pick up ticks. When I forget, we are always
pulling ticks off him during our post walk tick checks. The tick blend
is obviously safe for people to use as well.

Hope this helps!
