Everyone will be making the terracotta pendants themselves. I just went to Hobby Lobby (a major chain craft store here) and used a 40% off coupon, which they have all the time, to buy a 5 lb. package of terracotta clay for $7.50. Then I pulled a little hunk off that I though would be sufficient to make a pendant, weighed it (it was 1.5 oz), and made a sample pendant. I took 5 lb. and divided it by 1.5 oz to find out I could get 54 pendants out of that hunk of clay (I'll be pre-measuring the clay into 1.5 oz chunks) and then took $7.50 and divided it by 54, which equals about $0.14 per pendant in clay. I found Christmas ribbon at Walmart for $0.50, so it works out to $0.05 per 2 ft. cutting (again, I'm pre-cutting to control costs). It'll cost $0.05 for the tag (a crafty friend of mine has a cool die cut machine she's letting me borrow to cut out cardstock). And the costs of the sample bottle and 15 drops of essential oil will be between $0.84 and $1.28 depending on the oil (we're offering On Guard (only 10 drops), lavender, wild orange/peppermint combo, and citrus bliss as the options. So on a few of them we may lose $0.10 or so and on others will make $0.20 - $0.30 just to be sure we cover our hidden costs (like gas) and overages in supplies. We're just borrowing mini cookie cutters from people and everyone can cut out and personalize their pendants the way they want. The clay just air dries over night and they're good to go! Hope that helps!

How do you divide up the costs/expenses with multiple IPCs? Does one person provide all the supplies and everyone else just comes? I've been trying how to do Make and Take events with multiple IPCs. Where did you get the clay pendants?
