Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Roof of mouth

I will admit, when I have had early signs of cold with a runny nose, I do a version of  "Lemon, Pepperment, gargle with warm salt water" and it usually will stop my runny nose in its tracks.  For my daughter that had a full-blown cold with her nose running like a faucet, she complained that this remedy didn't work, but when she applied OnGaurd and Pepperment (layering each one separately for a couple of minutes each) to the roof of her mouth, that was a much different experience for her.  With in a couple of minutes, she could immediately feel the impact of the oils.  For a 13 year old, she was completely amazed.  There is something about applying pressure to the oil on the roof of the mouth, that makes this method much more effective.  I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't experienced it personally with my daughter.

I am impressed w/ DoTerra, but there is titanium dioxide in their On

we all would ask. I LOVE the toothpaste and would like it much better
w/o the coloring.

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Ear infection question

I like Basil and Cypress. Rub behind the ear and down the jaw. Cypress will help with the fluid. Basil on a Q-tip placed in the ear canal pulled some icky stuff out of my husband's ear! It was amazing!

i don't know if that was a fluke, but it seemed pretty directly
related to the oil, nothing else had been going on that i could figure

[Everything doTERRA] Re: HELP - UTI

There's a supplement called d-mannose (it's a natural sugar) that is
better for UTIs than cranberry juice. When I get UTIs, I will put a
few drops of lemongrass and melaleuca mixed with fractionated coconut
oil on a tampon, inserted overnight or about 6 hours if during the
day. Something about proximity and better absorption that way. And
of course, plenty of water with lemon all day long (you can put your d-
mannose in your water).

[Everything doTERRA] Re: HELP - UTI

D'Mannose from the health food store. It's concentrated form of the
sugar in cranberries. It has worked for me within 12-24 hours. Take
it several times a day with plenty of water. It makes it so the
bacteria can't cling to your body and they get flushed out. It also
worked for my sisters kids who used to get frequent/chronic UTI's.
They now take it at the first sign and never get the full infection.

I'm SO excited to get all these oils!!!  =)

[Everything doTERRA] Breathe blend smells different... should I be concerned?

My husband has been using Breathe blend every night to help with snoring since shortly after I joined doTerra in January.  He goes through about a bottle a month.  This month, when he started a new bottle we just received, it smells different from the rest.  Should we be concerned?  Should I write to doTerra asking about it?  It still seems to be working, but I couldn't figure out what would cause the smell to be different if the ingredients are always the same.  Could different harvests have different kinds of smells?
Thanks in advance for educating me about this!

That is awesome!! With the 200PV can you only get that once like the 125PV promotions? Or can you get it each time you order as long as it is more then 200PV?

We just had a webinar with the June promotions - here they are:

1. for 125PV LRP before the 15th:  5ml Balance

2. for any 200+PV (LRP or non-LRP order):  FREE Summer Sensation pack
- (similar to last year's Summer Sizzle): 5ml each of Black Pepper,
Cilantro, Basil, and Tangerine

3. 10% off item is TerraShield

I am so excited for June!!!

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Pleurisy in Pregnancy

It was me, Melissa!  YES, Leora, have her use cypress and thyme--layer topically on her chest.  And diffuse both in the air.  Do this frequently, every hour or two, until the pain is under control.  Then just as needed.  It will likely never go away completely--she'll probably notice the dull pain resurface any time she is coughing a lot or even laughing really hard.  just pull out the cypress & thyme again.
My doctor told me it would take 2 weeks to feel better.  Using the oils, topically and diffusing them for a few hours each day, helped me get better in about 3 days!!

[Everything doTERRA] success with Purify

Rob wants success stories so here goes...
We went camping this weekend and while my husband was cleaning out our
trailer he had the garage door open for most of the day. As luck would
have it one of the neighborhood cats is in heat and some unknown tom
came and sprayed all over in our garage. Both of us are highly allergic
to cats. Even the urine makes me wheeze. So I pulled out my Aroma Ace
and ran Purify for about 6 hours and when we got home - smell is gone.
24 hours later, smell still gone!
We are again happy campers.

[Everything doTERRA] Re: SanoBella?

I really like the shampoo, but I have fine wavy hair. The conditioner
we not thick enough to keep my hair from tangeling, so I mix it with a
heavier conditioner when I pit it on and let it sit while I finish my
shower.

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: New to DoTERRA

I take Miralax daily and I am trying to use the DigestZen (I am nervous, b/c I have such slow motility) everytime I have tried stopping the miralax I end up in major pain.  I was also thinking of trying the PB & GX Assist? Not sure if that would help re-set things.  I am waiting for the trim shakes, slim & sassy and LLV supplements. Hopefully that stuff will help too!!  I am saving up for the Lotus diffuser I can't wait to diffuse these amazing scents.  I am also hoping that will help my children around the "witching hour" 5-7pm.

I too am new to doterra, I have been using the oils for three weeks
now. I have definently seen a few great things too. Difussing the oils
in my home has made everyone much more content and happy.

I get ingrown finger nails all the time, and have often had to take
antibiotics. I started getting two last week. I put some lemon oil on
both a few timea a day. It was still sore because the nail has to grow
out, but I never got an infection. Which has never happened before,
even when I try to treat with neosporen.

I also had a bad headache... But didnt have the right oil to treat it.
Usually after I have one I get super sleepy and stay kinda grumpy
because I get so tense. So I took some advil and then put some
pepermint oil on my temples and on the shoulders and back of my neck.
Once the medicine kicked in I felt great, the pepermint really help
relieve the extra tention that I get from them. Now I just need to
order some past tense.

I am glad to hear that digestzen helped you little guy, cant wait to
try some. I have some coming in my lrp order for june.

Re: [Everything doTERRA] HELP - UTI

It could of spread to your kidneys? I'm very new to the oils so I can't be much help to you that way :(  Trust your instincts on when to contact your Dr. good luck & I hope you feel better.

[Everything doTERRA] Re: skin care line

I copied this from a previous post from my daughter:

I have been a Master Esthetician for over 10 years and have worked and
studied many different skin care lines. I
understand the in's and out's of what goes into a great skin care line
to make it work and do what they claim. First of all any company can
claim that if they have one drop of an "active ingredient" they can
claim that it will do whatever it is meant to, however most of the
time there is not enough of that product to do anything. There are so
many reasons why I choose to use the Doterra skin care in my facials,
however the most important to me is that the "active ingredient" is
the oils themselves. Notice where on the ingredient list the "active
ingredients" fall because they should always be at the top. You have
to have certain ingredients in a product to bind the ingredients, the
amazing part about the doterra skin care line is it is paraben free
because the oils themselves are preservatives naturally, so there for
they do not need to put those additives in there to keep it from going
bad. This also makes it so the product can absorb into the skin and do
what it is meant to:) Also something that is very important for people
to know is when using a skin care line it is important to use the
cleanser, toner and moisturizer, they are all equally important, the
skins natural Ph level is at a 7, when you use a cleanser is will
bring the skin down to about a 3 or 4, the toners job is to bring the
Ph back up to a 7, that way when you put moisturizer on it can add the
extra moisture the skin needs, if you skip the toner and just use the
moisturizer then it will have to fight to bring the Ph back up. I have
helped alot of clients get their skin cleared up using this line along
with doing the candida cleanse, education is key to understanding and
the skin is where most problems deep inside manifest, its the bodies
way of cleaning itself out, so its not always a bad thing, its just
the bodies way of communicating:)
