Subject: [Everything doTERRA] Re: A friend in need of oil advise

Jan,

I would follow Pat's advice, but may I also recommend to Nina, that if
she hasn't already, find a good physical therapist in her area that
can work with her in regaining motion and strength while her body is
healing with the oils. In-hopsital rehab is very different from
outpatient physical therapy care. Good luck!

Felicity

Thank you friends of doterra. You truly are god-sent. Much love and
appreciation,

had my first knee replacement, I never dreamed I would have the second nor would
still need "specialized care" at the end of May!  My second knee replacement and
extensive ligament reconstruction was done on April 19th, and until yesterday I
was still in rehab.  Three weeks ago my surgeon prescribed a new knee brace, one
which would allow for 65 degrees of flexion to replace the immobilizing brace he
put on me after my surgery.  This was never "delivered", so I remained unable to
flex my knee at all.

culminating in a fever of 102.  Tests failed to reveal more than a urinary tract
infection (UTI), so I was given a shot and put on antibiotics.  By Tuesday I was
paralyzed from head to toe; I could move only my eyes, and I was able to speak.
I was rushed to the hospital where after extensive tests it was determined that
I had two very vicious UTI's.  I was given IV antibiotics until Friday when I
returned to the rehab center.  By God's grace and by sheer determination I was
able to reclaim the use of all of my muscles except my upper right arm - this
being due to the tear I have in my rotary cuff.  Today I am raising both arms to
the sky in praise of His goodness!!! SO... back to trying to recover from my
knee surgery.

for another brace, so, on their advice, I left the rehab center on Tuesday and
began home health care.  Today I saw my surgeon again, and he prescribed a brace
that would allow for 90 degrees of flexion.  He also prescribed a power chair
both for my mobility now as well as future needs.  From his office we went to
the orthopedic prosthesis center.  It was then that I found out that Medicare
will not pay for ANY new brace for me because I was put in an immoblizing brace
following my surgery and Medicare will only pay  for one brace per person every
five years!  There could be possibility of applying for this new brace but not
if I am getting a power chair.  A choice had to be made, so I chose to buy the
brace which is much less expensive.  Needless to say, this was a shock to me. .
. $693 worth of SHOCK!  I had to pay for the brace and had no choice but to put
it on a charge card.  The brace was fitted, and I am sitting here with my knee
bent 90 degrees typing this update to you.

picture.  He believes, due to the high degree of radiation that I received as
cancer therapy when I was 23, that my neurological system was severely damaged
and cannot deliver the appropriate amount of stimulus to my leg muscles.  I have
an appointment with a neurologist on June 6th to delve into this problem.  My
surgeon believes that I will remain in a brace indefinitely, possibly leading to
total wheelchair dependency.  No, it was not the news I wanted to hear today,
but I KNOW that I KNOW that I KNOW that God is in control, and I am not.  He
continues to lead me, provide for me, and allow me to exist for my good and for
HIS glory.

will change.  I am praying about the path He has laid out for me, and I ask that
you pray for all of this with me.  Thank you  for your faithfulness to me
through the years; your prayers have made a hu;ge difference and have literally
carried me through some very difficult times.
