That is awesome, pat.        I have had a fusion and at the time, it was my only option because of bone spurs hitting my nerves. Mine was sucessful but it was a long recovery. I was able to do most anything again and am very grateful for the surgery.  Recently, however, the pain in my denerate disks is coming back full force because I had the fusion without disk relacement.  Pats protocol is excellent for pain. I am doing so well and my back seldom bothers me anymore.  I have also used nicole stevens cancer protocol for pain on occasion for serious pain and it has worked wonders also.    I would definitly have your friend try the oils consistently before ever going to surgery.  If they don't give him releif enough after you have used them for a long while, then surgery can help and the oils will help him recover quickly.  I always tell my customers that the oils are not God, however I strongly belive they are God's helpers!  Good luck.  Janet
