I was bitten by a dog early August. Went to the ER for irrigation and
did start antibiotics because it was a really bad bite. One puncture
wound started trying to get infected. I had made a salve with whole
coconut oil, lavender and On Guard. I keep my house warm in the
summer, so this was liquid at the time. I dripped the oil into the
wound trying to get infection and by morning the redness, soreness,
and heat were gone. That one has also healed incredibly faster and
better than the others. I'll try and figure out how to post a
picture. In the future, this will be my antibiotic ointment for any
wound, and not just topically, but getting it down in the wound.
