I do frankincense and peppermints when past tense doesn't work. I've heard that breathe on the sinus area also helps with sinus pain.

I'm talking about pain in the bones around the eyes. If I don't take sudafed soon enough, it turns into a migraine. Last night I tried applying Breathe, Basil, & Lavender along the brown bones (above the eyes) and zygomatic bones (under the eyes), as well as using Breathe in the diffuser. I also used Past Tense on the back of the neck, and Deep Blue on the forehead. I was able to keep it from turning into a true migraine, but I still had a lot of pain around my eyes, and couldn't sleep; finally I gave up and took some sudafed & ibuprofen, and that took care of it. What else can I try? I get these headaches fairly frequently -- it seems like some sort of allergy-induced inflammation, but I also get them from pressure changes when it's going to snow. (The dry, high-altitude air in CO is not very nice for sinuses.)
