[Everything doTERRA] Re: Sinus Headaches

I second peppermint oil neat...if you can stand it; I also find rosemary very effective via inhalation and diluted on the neck using a downward motion for application. Basil tea helps me. 1-2 drops basil in warm water (I like the taste, so I don't add sweetener), and I feel uplifted, comforted, and my sinuses seem to clear! I drink as much water as possible and stay warm. I also apply marjoram and basil (sometimes I add lemongrass as well) on my spine and temples/ears/neck if I feel achy from symptoms spreading and this seems to help. Hope you find what works for you soon--sinus pain is the worst!

I, too, have this problem. Straight peppermint, applied neat works best for me, but may be too "hot" for some people. I apply it to my temples, forehead, cheekbones (eyes water like crazy but it's worth it, put a drop on my finger and hold to the roof if my mouth and neck and shoulders. It will make you smell really strong for a few minutes and burns, but I live the cool burning sensation and it's the most effective thing I've found.
