Hello everyone,
My niece was born at 24 weeks and she was 1.5 lbs, she was born on Aug 21st. She is doing absolutely amazing and is already up to 4lbs. She unfortunately suffered a brain bleed from labor and she has a temporary reservoir in her head that nurses can drain as her brain is not recycling the spinal fluid as it should. The doctors told my sister in law that she has a 90% chance of having a disability which you would never believe if you see her. She is very active and alert, just a little miracle. I went to a presentation by Dr. Hill the other week as he was in our area and he was talking about Frankincense and how it passes the blood brain barrier and babies blood brain barrier isn't completely formed until they are two months old and how Frankincense can improve/heal trauma to the brain. Can anyone tell me if this is safe to use on a preemie and would you recommend it, or if not what would you recommend? My sister in law will smuggle oils into the NICU if she has to. She has started using them also, I lent her my Clary Sage (which worked) to help start her milk production and she had a two day headache and I gave her a shoulder massage with fractioned coconut oil and peppermint and her headache was gone within 5 minutes so she definitely sees the benefits and is a believer.
Please help and thanks so much for any guidance on where to use and how much also (I've heard big toe and back of skull) in other posts.
Thank you,
Jame
