You can use tea tree oil and before doTERRA, that's what I used. Our then 2 yr old got lice after a haircut. It took weeks to get rid of it. Before being introduced to doTERRA, we used tea tree oil after hair cuts. I would mix a little in my hand with the shampoo, wash hair with tea tree shampoo and even apply a little oil, neat, to the nape of the neck as well as the top of the scalp. Overkill? Maybe. If I can prevent lice, I will. That was horrible and a lot of work (washing clothes, sheets, towels, picking through heads, etc) Now that we are using doTERRA, I will mix Melaluca in with the shampoo and apply it neat to their heads as soon as I hear that it is going around my kid's schools. Also, lice don't like heat so blow drying hair is supposed to help keep them away.
