Pat's right, the oils are really hard on the CPAP plastic components. I've been desperate a few times though and have added ONE drop only of Breathe or OnGuard to my humidifier but I can see where the oil has "etched" the plastic.

If breathing issues are your concern you could try diffusing Breathe Blend (or whatever works for you) on your night stand for a while before you're ready to fall asleep, then when your nasal passages are open, put on your CPAP and the moisture and pressure should keep you open and breathing comfortably most of the night. At least that's the case for me.
