Hi Catherine. Have you been given a medical diagnosis for the condition? Sometimes it helps to know more about the cause. In general though, it seems that oils to help relax the muscles and relieve spasms would be beneficial for these symptoms. It can't hurt to add something for inflammation or infection because of the difficulty emptying the bladder may increase the risk of getting an infection.
A couple of things to try:
Every few hours, apply Rosemary on the bladder reflex point on the ear and Lemongrass on the lower abdomen (may need to dilute with FCO). You can also apply Cypress it on the lower abdomen and/or reflex points.
If you have interstitial cystitis, which isn't an infection, but causes a lot of pain, you can search for that here and see quite a number of posts.
