Thanks to Liz for emailing me about what to put together to treat a dogs
wounds. I will need to get a couple of the oils mentioned (Helichrysum
and Immortelle) for the future. As of today, our dog started limping
this morning and so we took her to the vet because we could not see
anything in her paw or in between her paws; neither could the Vet see
anything and he even manipulated her leg and shoulder.
Right now, the speculation is that she strained or sprained her leg or
paw. The reason she'd lick her paw in this case is because when she'd
step on it, it'd hurt her down to her paw so she would lick that because
(most of all) she can reach that easily.
Since we don't think it's an infection, I won't make up the recipe that
Liz provided yet.
I know Deep Blue would be good for a sprain or pain but when the dog
can't tell you where it's hurting, do I just roll it on a part of her
leg and know that the oil blend will ease wherever my dog is feeling
pain or inflammation.
Right now we have medication (1 pill a day) to treat her for
inflammation and pain.
I'll look in my Modern Essentials book under "dogs" to see if they discuss
sprains.
Thanks
