I want to share some questions that someone on my team has asked me. Please add to it or correct me if I'm wrong.--Why is doterra different than other multi level companies? Well, the first major thing is that we are here to educate and empower...not just sell products. Because really, our products without the knowledge to know how to use them are just another bottle of something sitting in a medicine cabinet...unused. The power to heal untapped. So, that is foremost. As far as the compensation structure, that's pretty major, too. From what I can tell, most other MLMs reverse their commission percentage. Pull out your blue compensation plan sheet. You can see that you earn just 2% on the purchases of someone on your Level 1. Now notice that you earn 3% on your Level 2, 5% on your Level 3 and so on. This encourages you to "grow deep". You actually have an incentive to help your teams grow deep. And, because of the "Power of 3" you are encouraged to grow wide...helping more people. In order for you to ever advance in rank (Consultant, Manager, Director, etc.) you have to have helped people on your team grow. As they advance in rank, you will, too. You have a vested interest in your team's success.Other MLMs pay commission in another way. They pay you a higher percentage for those on your Level 1, a little less for Level 2, and a little less as you go down. You really have no incentive to help your teams grow deep...your best commissions would be just to place everyone on your Level 1 and earn a higher percentage...so really, everyone is left to fend for themselves. Not a lot of encouragement to be a team.
