[Everything doTERRA] Infected parotid (salivary) gland

A friend has no saliva due to an autoimmune condition, and she is prone to infections in her salivary glands. She's been able to successfully fight other infections with the oils (sinus, ear, etc.), but is not having success treating the parotid gland infection. I believe she's using capsules with oregano and melaleuca, and applying Aromatouch and Frankincense topically to the area. Anything else she could try before going to the doctor for antibiotics?
