[Everything doTERRA] Re: solace and breastfeeding experiences?

Why are you assuming that if it makes you feel good it must be bad for the baby?  I have used Solace almost every day since my period returned, and I am still nursing, and have had no problems.  I have several friends who take a vitex tincture under the direction of herbalists and naturalpaths, and they are breastfeeding as well.  Additionally, I use Balance every day because it makes me feel grounded and I am way less likely to get frustrated with my kids - do I need to stop that because it makes me 'feel good' and it must therefore be bad for baby?  Sorry I'm sounding annoyed, but you are reminding me of the many doctors who force women to quit breastfeeding whenever they take any sort of medication, most of which don't even transfer in the milk!  With a natural product like these oils, it is even less likely to actually harm my child, and yet you are still making it difficult for a woman to breastfeed.  OK, off my soapbox - if you still believe in your position, could you please back it up with some info about why Solace would be bad for a baby?

Just remember that whatever goes into your blood stream can go into the milk and therefore be consumed by the baby.  If it were me, I wouldn't.  Or I would switch to pumping the milk and bottle feeding as well. Get a good stock of milk,  use the solace, feed with the overstock while the solace does its thing. Then after 12-24 hours pump and/or breastfeed again.  Rinse repeat as needed.  That way you aren't risking exposing your child to whatever is in the solace that makes you feel great, but undoubtedly isn't meant for a baby.   My sister did a mixture of pumping and breastfeeding so that she didn't always have to breastfeed at awkward moments.  Her son got the hang of it pretty quickly and then she was able to do what she needed to without worrying about breastfeeding every couple hours.
