Wintergreen would not cause a clot. If it had any reaction it would be to help the blood not to clot. The ME book under Safety Data for Wintergreen only talks about not for pregnancy, people allergic to methyl salicylate (test a small area of skin) and people with epilepsy.

Hi. Deep Blue is used in the AromaTouch Technique and one of my team asked if the Wintergreen in the Deep Blue would affect anyone receiving the treatment who is on Warfarin. I believe that Wintergreen is banned by the International Federation of Aromatherapists and the Federation of Holistic Therapistsfor and I wondered if anyone has any information or guidance on this. I use the ATT on friends and family but my team member is an Aromatherapist, is recently Certified in the ATT, and would like to use the ATT in her Salon however she has issues with the use of Wintergreen. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
