Hey Everyone. I know this is a little bit late in the posting process but I have an answer for you about the tax on shipping. OK...
-- First of all... Every enrollment order or Internet order that is not a Loyalty Rewards Program (LRP) order is taxed on retail prices. This is because there is no way to specify that the product is being used for personal use. Even if it is a wholesale account and it isn't marked "for personal use" (LRP order) it will be charged on retail pricing and be charged tax on shipping because it can be sold as retail... therefore retail tax is applied. All LRP orders that are marked for "personal use" are charged tax on wholesale and are eligible for Shipping Rewards points. Example: If the shipping costs $8.99 then the company gives back $9.00 in Shipping Rewards points to be used towards free product the next month, thus, the shipping is a wash. This is doTERRA's way of rewarding it's LRP members even more. Moral of the story... Enroll today in the Loyalty Rewards Program! There is only a $50 a month requirement and you not only earn Shipping Rewards points you also earn LRP points towards free products.

Some of my team members have asked why doTERRA charges sales tax on shipping and on enrollment fees. They say no other company they've worked with does this. Is there something about the laws in Utah that makes it necessary to do this? Does anyone know?
