My Dad mistook Holiday Joy for DDR and poured 8 drops into a shot glass of Orange Juice! He called me wondering what it would do to him... I laughed and thought how bad his breath must reek of a Christmas Tree! But jokingly I told him he would have diarrhea. He was just fine, but he did say it was nasty!

Look at the labels on the bottles. It will tell you suggested usage, internal, topical, or aromatic. That doesn't mean, however, that it can not be taken internally if it is not a suggested use. If it is dangerous, it will list a warning, like on the Deep Blue. I do believe that one says "not for internal use" and comes with a child-resistant cap.
