RE: [Everything doTERRA] Chemo and oil use

Sorry to hear about your husband Lynette. There are several classes of chemotherapy drugs and the type of drug may affect the recommendations regarding “oil free” time. Just over one year ago I was on chemo and using the cancer protocol with the essential oils. DDR Prime was not available then. My treatment cycle was different to your husband’s, but I only stopped the oils the day before, the day of and the day after. My chemo drugs were oxidising, and the concern was that the antioxidant effect of the essential oils would counteract the chemo effect. (have since read that it may in fact enhance the effect on the cancerous cells and support the normal cells resulting in fewer side effects but little work has been done in this field yet) Depending on the type of chemotherapy drugs your husband is being treated with the recommendations may be different.  All the very best to you both at this time.

I'm looking for actual experience in using DDR Prime while undergoing chemo.  Currently DDR Prime is being discontinued 3 days prior and 3 days post chemo.  My husband's chemo is ongoing and lasts 3 days (1 day infusion2 days with drip through port).  This means that there are a very limited number of days he is receiving benefit from the oils.
