may find it very helpful.
I substitute coconut oil for shortening and go half-and-half with
butter in recipes. Everything turns out so yummy and has only the
slightest taste of coconut. Not overpowering at all. Also, it must not
be melted in the microwave as it destroys it's properties.
As for FCO. It is fractionated in order for it to stay in its liquid
form at room temperatures as well as increase its absorbency rate. It
is THE best oil as a carrier oil, which is a benign oil to mix
essential oils into in order to prevent burning of the skin or even
for stretching an essential oil over a larger area like the back or
abdomen. It absorbs very quickly into the skin without leaving ANY
oily residue and skin LOVES it! Very moisturizing. It's also anti-
inflammitory, resists bacteria, and, for the most part, hypo-
allergenic. Of course, you can also depend on it being pure because
it's from doTERRA.
