[Everything doTERRA] Re: Acute Migraine

Have his neck checked out by a good chiropractor. Pressure on the
occipital nerve will cause migraines (and nausea). This nerve emerges
from between two of the cervical vertebrae (I think C2 and C3, but I
could be wrong). If those vertebrae are locked up and putting pressure
on the nerve, this could be the source of the problem. I am not a
chiropractor, but my son had an undiagnosed neck injury last year, and
this was found to be the cause of the headaches and nausea that caused
him to miss 48 days of his school year. He had a MRI and all kinds of
work-up from our family doctor, but it was the chiropractor who
discovered and solved the problem.

The family doctor wanted to send him to a GI specialist--even though
he showed no other signs of any gastro-intestinal issues, just the
nausea. He was very dimissive of the chiropractor, but it turned out
that the chiropractor was right, and the doctor was wrong. I am so
glad that I followed my gut as a mom to resolve the issue.
