I have also found White Fir to be very effective for bruising.

I've used helichrysum to quickly clot a bleeding cut...and it impressive for that. Since your person is on blood thinners, I'd suggest checking with her doctor before trying anything that speeds clotting. Note - I'm not a doctor nor do I play one on the net. Just cautious.
