RE: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Autism

Elaine, thank you for being willing to share from your heart!  This is very enlightening.  Some of this helps me to understand a bit more w/someone I know.  Always good to understand how we each "tick".

Subject: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Autism

hi there... there's alot of people who think i have asperger's, but really i'm just an off the charts HSP... which means 'highly sensitive person', and people with autism are always HSPs... it means our nervous systems are different, we have no filters for sensory input, and if there is any kind of child hood trauma, it means anxiety and depression and such, and a constant state of baaaad stress...

so as an HSP i'm very sick in many ways because of it, and my favourite oil is 'Balance'... i can't say why, but it makes me shut my eyes and breath a BIG sigh of relief... and i use frankinsense for muscle problems, like restless leg syndrome, also lavender on the souls of the feet really helps me sleep

bright lights hurt our eyes, loud voices can give us a melt down, socializing leaves me in a horrible state of exhaustion, 'bad vibes' make me ill... i had to leave the city and move out of town, just to alleviate a lion's share of my sickness...  i can't have a tv or radio on, i either sit in silence or have VERY relaxing quiet music on... and diet is soooooo important, it must be super clean, i'm a whole foods, organic, mostly raw, vegan, if my husband makes the mistake of buying a can of beans that isn't organic, i'm on the couch in horrible pain all day...

these things are a reality that have to be dealt with, there is nothing else to do but make allowances for us being 'different'... tho there is a fine line to walk between boredom and overstimulation

i'm sorry if you know all this stuff, as you probably already do, but i just thought maybe somebody didn't know...

just thought you might like to hear it from somebody who knows what it feels like...

i just thought i would write

thanks for listening

I am looking for experiences with doTerra and Autism. I am also wondering if there are any share groups or facebook groups where parents of Autistic children (who use doTerra) are connected and if not, would anyone be interested in creating one?  One of my downline has 2 Autistic children with multiple issues under that umbrella and has found frankincense to really help her son who used to have a lot of seizures.  She is new to the oils and interested in learning more from those with more experience with this specific concern.  She tries to stay as natural as possible because her children are super sensitive to pretty much everything. Thanks so much in advance.
