It is obvious that she really know nothing about us or that she even understands the pyramid structure. A pyramid structure is one where the person at the top is the only one who truly makes the money. Not so with a MLM company, each one of us becomes their own organization and builds according to their desire. And as for our oil supplies, we have contracted with each of our producers and they are suppliers for us only. They are paid fair market value for goods received. And then samples of each of the oils from our producers are sent to independent laboratories for MS and GC testing in the fullest extent. There is NEVER animal testing. That would be counter productive since animals eat the oil producing flowers or trees or whatever it is while still in nature.
I had someone say to me the other day that she purchases the oils from the same people that doTerra does and I told her that if they (the growers) told her that they were lying to her.

If you knew this company and the corporate owners you would know that all of your concerns can be put to rest. This is a debt free, privately held company and I am proud to be a very small part of it.

I understand and accept from what you've said that your model is different from those that are going to be banned in the UK, and that was my first concern. The only remaining concern is whether the people at the real bottom of the pyramid structure, namely those involved in the labour to farm the herbs and produce the oils, are being paid fairly according to 'Fairtrade' norms. I'm not sure if the Fairtrade organisation exists in the USA but it's the one in the UK known for guaranteeing that Third World producers get a fair deal. Otherwise, wherever the oils are produced, it is good to know that the people involved in the physical labour at the bottom are getting a living wage and fair working conditions, have the right to join trade unions or worker's cooperatives, they can afford to send their children to school and the like. That information, just like information that the products are not tested on animals, would help to promote your oils, I believe, as British people are possibly more concerned about the health and rights of animals (especially lab animals) than their own health!  :-)
