Hi,
-- On May 5 I broke the little toe of my right foot. Went to foot doctor and he wrapped it for me and told me it would be healed in 8 weeks.
I had to re-wrap the toe several times, and I think I wrapped it incorrectly. Also I think I was allergic to the adhesive.
Long story short, here it is more than two months later and the toe is very swollen, beet red and it still hurts. It's also crooked now. This is not good, as I teach Zydeco dancing and need to be able to wear my boots! I can't get them on.
I had the same foot doctor x-ray it again and he said that the bone is healed but that the toe is dislocated. He told me I have two choices: live with it or have surgery and that they don't even consider surgery until 6 months after the injury.
Today a different doctor told me that the surgery entails drilling into the bone and putting screws into the toe, which can be as painful if not more painful than the way it is now.
I have been applying Frankincense, Helichrysum, Deep Blue, and Lemongrass for about a week now. (Unfortunately I can't apply any oils at work since someone there says he goes into anaphlactic shock from anything that has any scent at all.)
If anyone here has any suggestions for me, I'd sure appreciate it.
Thank you very much!
Karen
