Re: [Everything doTERRA] Citrus oils and sensitivity to sunlight-how long does it stay in your system?

To my knowledge it only applies to what you are applying to your skin.  I would also be sure to know what oils  are in any blends you are applying topically.  A friend did apply a blend with a citrus oil (did not realize it contained) to her neck and got a burn.  However she started applying lavender and frankincense in 2 different spray bottles with water and area healed without problems.

We are going on a beach vacation in a couple of weeks and the last thing I want to do is get burned while we are there. I add drops of lime, lemon, and/or grapefruit to my selzer and regular water every day, several times a day in fact. Does the sensitivity to sunlight apply when the oils are taken internally? Or does that just apply if they are used externally? If it also includes when they are taken internally, how long does it typically stay in your system so I know how soon I should stop using them? Thanks!
