I agree with Deanna. Root canals no not cause cancer, however a chronically infected tooth can cause a left threatening infection if not treated or removed. See a holistic dentist for your health and safety. Wish you well Pat

I have a problem with a tooth that is infected. It's been bugging me for about a month and on Monday I went to the dentist and he said it had a big cavity almost down to the root and he wasn't sure if filling it would work or if I will need to have it removed or do a root canal. I went ahead and had it filled with a cavity and so far the pain level hasn't improved much. I've also been feeling sick as well with a lingering cold type illness that I'm pretty sure is connected to my tooth problem. So my question is this- I've heard and read on some holistic health websites that root canals are a bad idea and that you should get the tooth removed instead and then do a bridge. Is it really true that root canals are a bad idea? I already have auto-immune issues anyway and so this really worries me. If so, is removing the tooth my only option? or is there something else I can do?I already take the LLV and I started the Women's Bone supplement in October. I also take PB assist everyday as I have digestive issues and need the probiotic. I also eat healthier than a horse. I haven't had any soda in over 5 years. I drink only water and herbal teas. I'm gluten free and dairy free and rarely eat any bread, cookies etc of even the gluten free kind. I eat an average of 8-10 servings of vegetables a day and if I do have sugar it's usually some brown sugar on a bowl of gluten free oatmeal or some dark chocolate.I've oil pulled off and on for the past 6 months and the past week have done it every day but it doesn't seem to be doing much.Help!
