I understand the feeling! I've recently been using Slim n Sassy, 8-10 drops in a capsule 2-3 times a day, and boy, does it give me a lift! I have one when I get up, with a glass of water and a tsp. of IQMega. It perks me up in no time! Then a capsule a few hours later, and maybe in late afternoon or at suppertime as well. It doesn't always give me as much of a lift as I'd like, but it's usuLLY enough to get me through. I have been able to cut my caffeine consumption as well, because of this wonderful blend. I still have days when I"m very sleepy, but nothing like before. I hope this works for your friend.
