My 7 year old suffers from environmental allergies (pretty much every
tree, grass, dust, mold). She has been highly medicated on
perscription allergy meds and they still didn't take away her symptoms
(excessive runny nose, non-stop sneezing, itchy/watery eyes). I took
her off all medications about a year ago and have been using Lavender,
Lemon and Peppermint on her for about a year. First we tried applying
them on her feet 2 x's a day. I noticed a big difference, but she
still was uncomfortable with her runny nose and sneezing. I then
started making her pills (8drops lavender, 4 peppermint, 4 lemon)
That works just a bit better, but her sneezing is still occurring,
especially at night. She wakes up every night with a sneezing
attack....sneezes about 40 times, one right after the other.
Sometimes if I rub lavender on her nose it stops. So, you would think
her room is a big cause of the sneezing...maybe dust. We've removed
carpet and stuffed animals, covered her mattress and pillow in allergy
protective wraps, vacuum the curtains regularly and wash bedding about
3x's a week in hot water. I would LOVE to help her stop sneezing.
Can anyone offer advice on this?
