One of our dogs has pretty bad allergies too. She's just a little mixed breed dog, but as she has aged they have gotten a lot worse. The best thing I can recommend is to actually get him tested for allergies. She is allergic to 7 different foods and a long list of plants (including melaleuca) so there was no way I could have figured out what was wrong just by using an elimination process. As far as when she is itchy often times a little lavender and fco can really help. Unfortunately though as she gets older it is getting worse. Good luck to you and your dog.
