[Everything doTERRA] Re: canine Cushing's Disease

I have attached the dog care sheet (AromaTools.com), along with a graphic showing you where the adrenal glands are. Also here is a website with info about the situation: http://www.vetmed.wsu.edu/cliented/cushings.aspx

That said, frankincense, lavender, and immortelle are all listed on the dog sheet for tumors. For my dogs, I generally make a roller and if I use three oils I use 15 drops each plus FCO to fill a 5 mL roller. Then the roller can be used on the pads of each paw, and in this case, along the spine as best you can. Dachshund hair is fairly short (unless, of course, she's a long-haired one!), so you could just roll it along her spine, and rub it in a little with your other hand as you roll along. Given that it's an active tumor, then rolling/applying oils every 2 hours during the day is a good idea. The oils are metabolized quickly so frequent application is important.
