[Everything doTERRA] Re: killer migraine for pregnant momma

I had a friend who had terrible migraines - flashing lights, nausea, terrible pain, light sensitivity - they would last 5 days and the pharmaceuticals didn't help.  I made her a blend that she didn't believe would work, but she did it anyway because she is a good friend.  Well, she called me that day and was amazed that the blend stopped the migraine immediately.  She did say the she still had a wicked headache for about 6 hours, but it was minor compared to the migraine pain she usually experienced.  Plus - no nausea, flashing lights or light sensitivity.  Here's the blend: 

5 drops Frankincense, 5 drops Lavender, 2 drops Peppermint and 2 drops Basil.  The trick is in adding the basil (at least for her).  

I have given this blend to many others who get migraines or terrible headaches and they all report back that the blend works great.  The important part is where you apply it: the temples, forehead and back of neck (near the base of the skull) are the usual places to put, but I also have them add one more area that Dr. Hill has recommended - and that is to put a drop on the blood vessel on the head above each ear (you know, the one you can see on guys who shave their heads).  It runs parallel to the ground.  I believe that this last placement of the oils is what makes the blend so successful for everyone.

We did aroma touch, and we used deep blue on the temples and forehead as well as past tense on the forehead and back of the neck. We followed with Frankincense and she even has been using Frankincense under her tongue. Very little relief. We are scheduled for another AromaTouch today, but really seeking help to see what other SAFE ideas we could try for her migraine! She's going on six days of a migraine and is beside herself!
