Charly, there is DEFINITELY a lot of negative sentiment out there about doTERRA (and YL) among "professional" aromatherapists. If you want to see what they're saying, you can visit the Essential Oil University blog. Go to their website, click on "News" and join the blog. I was shocked at the extreme hostility I found there--mostly against any MLM company. People are saying that doTERRA's oils are overpriced and no better than anything else on the market. My biggest gripe about this is that they haven't ever tried them. After all, doTERRA is a competitor for them too. They make their living telling people how to use the oils, and they claim it would be too dangerous for people to try to make decisions about using the oils themselves. Sounds a lot like traditional medical practitioners to me. The blog has rules about "advertising" for any particular company, so you have to speak generally.

Young Living have thrown up some claims about the integrity of doTERRA's founders, and because no-one on the outside (i.e. you and me) know the details, these allegations can continue. Hopefully they can be put to bed through this process, as the facts will come out in court.

 

That will be beneficial to us too, because one negative with doTERRA is that information is so limited. This case may provide a way for that information to be forthcoming.

 

Meanwhile however, this case between to MLM's is just what the rest of the essential oils world wants. They love it. They consider doTERRA and YL to be worthless, and bad for the industry.. and while this case goes on, we are the laughing stock.
